Few people without an advanced degree in physics have ever heard of Rydberg physics. On first sight it may seem a rather exotic subject matter and without tangible connections to everyday life. This is, however, far from the truth. To appreciate the fascination Rydberg physics holds for scientists and to marvel at the possibilities it opens up no advanced knowdledge of physics is required.
